UX Designer

What does that feature actually need? How will people use it? What steps are required, and what should those buttons say? You tell us!

Key Duties Include:
  • Help analyze feature requirements based off discussion with users, industry research, analysis of bug reports etc.
  • Design flows, wireframe interfaces etc.

Web Designer

Help spread the Jobber brand. Shape how we interact with our community through display ads, trade show materials, website, newsletters, and more.

Position Overview:
  • You’ll be the go-to person when it comes to keeping Jobber’s presence on the web fresh and looking good. We’re looking for a designer who can code their designs; basic HTML & CSS are a requirement.
  • A huge part of your role will be designing and coding our marketing web properties (website, landing pages, blog, newsletters, ads etc.)
  • Designing offline-marketing materials including print media, t-shirts, trade show banners etc. will also be your responsibility.
  • You’ll also be working with our design team and senior leadership to maintain Jobber’s brand guidelines and visual consistency, while continuing to modernize and iterate.
Qualifications:
  • Proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, HTML and CSS.
  • Understand the constraints and opportunities of designing for mobile and the responsive web.
  • Experience with mobile/responsive design is an asset.
  • Strong communication skills. You need to be able to articulate your ideas to the senior leadership team and adapt to design feedback.
  • Interest in branding and marketing.

Customer Support

Our customers are awesome, but sometimes they need a little help with a feature, or have some interesting feedback about how something works. We need someone to help us help our customers!

Key Duties Include:
  • Responding to general inquires throughout the entire Jobber ecosystem. This includes everything from live chat, our support help desk, the forum and anywhere else people are talking about Jobber around the web. These questions will be coming from both existing customers and people new to Jobber.
  • Building out our knowledge base (Documentation and FAQ) will be a big part of your role. You’ll be taking advantage of our historical support data to facilitate building an efficient support process for our global customer base.
Here’s a Little More Detail…
  • Monitor Olark live chat, an app for the website that can be used by new and existing customers.
  • Work closely with the sales team to help convert leads into new customers.
  • We use Zendesk as a support tool (bonus points for experience with this software.) You will be responsible for monitoring the incoming tickets and ongoing threads within this program.
  • Communicate with our content manager about what articles and blog posts we should publish in order to help solve FAQ’s.
  • A deep and fully developed understanding of Jobber and it’s day-to-day usage, helping our customers understand the features and the benefits to them.

  • You have to be very comfortable with computers, technology and web based software. Our business is itself web based software, but we also use a wide array of software tools internally that you must quickly become comfortable with. If you’re a hunt-and-peck typer this job is not for you.
  • Well-spoken, charismatic, comfortable and polite on the telephone. This position involves a lot of phone time — if you’re not good on the phone, that will be a problem.

Account Manager

We’re always on the lookout for eager and motivated Account Managers to talk to our customers about Jobber and help them get the most out of our software.

Key Duties Include:
  • Actively engage and nurture new users. Make sure people feel good about Jobber and know what to do next and how to do it.
  • Help in the ongoing development and fine tuning of effective account management processes and policies. We want you to weigh in on how we can best serve our customers.
  • Onboarding, remote demos, point of contact, support and other lead nurturing services.

  • Initiate outreach activity with inbound leads by phone and e-mail.
  • Assess, score and prioritize leads and manage follow up activity.
  • Track and maintain comprehensive notes in our internal CRM.

Brand Journalist

We generate content here at Jobber to communicate what we do and provide interesting and relevant information to our customers. We want to do a lot more of it, and could sure use your help.

Position Overview:
  • As a Jobber Brand Journalist, you’ll be the go to person when it comes to researching, writing, and producing awesome content for our customers.
  • We need you to take the lead on producing blog posts, videos, photos, webinars, charts, graphs, e-books, guides, podcasts and more in order to provide our audience with the content they want and need.
  • In addition to content production, you will work alongside our marketing team to pitch content to media outlets, industry publications and market influencers.
Qualifications:
  • Very comfortable with computers, technology and web-based software. Our business is itself web-based software so this can’t be a foreign concept to you if you’re going to do well here.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills. Strong spelling and grammar are extremely important. If you don’t know the difference between they’re/their/there, then this probably isn’t a good fit.
  • Knowledge of common blogging platforms, social media dashboards i.e. Buffer and content strategy in general.
  • Some understanding of SEO.

Executive Assistant/Office Manager

Jobber has grown a lot over the past year. We need some help with day-to-day administration and office management so that our growing team can stay happy, healthy and focused!

We need full time help with the day-to-day aspects of running Jobber. We’ve doubled our headcount over the past 6 months, and tripled it in the last year. There’s much more of that to come, and it means an increasing burden of administrative and organizational work.

This is an important role for Jobber, with a lot of responsibilities and expectations. You will work closely with the founders to help us keep building an awesome company for our customers and our team. You’ll play a key role in ensuring our team can focus as we grow.

The Job:
  • Help the founders organize and manage scheduling.
  • Help the founders prioritize tasks and keep track of deadlines and commitments.
  • Help the founders with high level research and information gathering.
  • Provide a strong link between the founder team and external parties as a trusted representative.
  • Plan and organize travel arrangements, company events and assist with trade show and conference preparation.
  • Take care of our home. Talk to the landlord if stuff needs to be fixed, call the plumber, water the plants, coordinate with the cleaners, coffee and water suppliers and anyone else we deal with to keep the office humming.
  • Assist with team administration, from the HR involved in onboarding new employees, managing our benefits programs and keeping internal team information up-to-date.
  • Assist in managing and organizing expenses and coordinating with our bookkeeper.
  • Run office related errands, pick up supplies etc.
  • Probably a lot of other stuff too. All the things it takes to make sure the Jobber office is healthy and happy.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in an administrative and/or organizational role. It doesn’t need to be exactly the same, but a proven track record in this kind of role is required.
  • Ability to deal responsibly with access to confidential and sensitive information. You must be trustworthy.
  • Ability to juggle a huge number of tasks at once without dropping any of them.
  • Using a computer should be second nature. You should have a favourite web browser (if it’s IE then don’t apply.) You should be able to make your way around a spreadsheet, be comfortable with web based software and can learn new applications and workflows quickly. You shouldn’t need to look at the keyboard when you type.
  • Very strong organizational skills. You need to be super organized, responsible and disciplined. Not only will you need to be effective at closely managing your own time, you will be trusted with managing time on behalf of the founders.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Flawless communication skills. You will spend time communicating with important external parties on behalf of the founders, and must do so clearly, concisely and professionally. Great verbal and interpersonal skills and strong writing are a must. Spelling and grammar shouldn’t even need to be mentioned here.
  • Must have a reliable car and be able to drive occasionally for work related tasks.
